A Maintenance Mechanical Engineer is required for a static site role in Leeds (LS1), working within a healthcare environment. This is a long-term position with opportunities for permanent employment.
Shift Pattern:
- 4 days (6:00am - 6:00pm), 4 days off, 4 nights (6:00pm - 6:00am), 4 days off - rolling shift pattern providing 24/7/365 cover.
Pay Rate: £20.36 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
Duties will include:
- Leading the shift team and providing support to working colleagues
- Carrying out maintenance, repairs, testing and inspection of building, mechanical and electrical services, associated systems, plant and equipment in line with relevant standards and procedures
- Participating in the rotating shift pattern to provide continuous service cover
- Providing cover for absent colleagues where required
- Working in accordance with safe working practices within statutory, NHS, Trust and Company guidelines
- Maintaining, servicing and repairing a wide range of building services including:
- Heating and domestic water services
- General electrical services (lighting and power)
- Air handling units
- Low voltage electrical distribution systems and switchgear
- Emergency standby generating plant
- Fire alarm systems and emergency lighting
- Electrical control systems
- Building Management Systems (BMS)
Qualifications / Experience Required:
- Qualified, time-served engineer
- Minimum 3 years' post-apprenticeship experience
- Healthcare experience desirable but not essential
- Cross-trade experience advantageous
