BMS Engineer
Location: North London
Salary: £25-£30 per hour (negotiable within reason)
Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced BMS Service Engineer to join our team, working on a variety of contracted customer sites, including PFI Schools, PFI Hospitals, Government Estates, and MOD sites.
Day-to-day duties will include:

Installing and configuring BMS components and equipment, including sensors, controllers, actuators, and software systems.

Carrying out routine maintenance and servicing of Trend, Tridium, and Distech BMS systems.

Diagnosing and repairing faults to ensure systems operate efficiently and reliably.

Responding to reactive call-outs as part of a rota (with additional pay for being on call and attending).

Providing specialist technical support and advice to clients about their BMS systems.

Preparing proposals and providing accurate quotations for additional works as needed.

Working closely with site teams to plan and deliver works with minimal disruption.

Maintaining detailed records of work carried out and updating system documentation.
Skills & Qualifications:

City & Guilds, BTEC, or NVQ in Electrical discipline.

Extensive knowledge and experience with BMS/HVAC systems.

Hands-on experience with Trend or Tridium Controls; knowledge of Niagara, Distech, or Siemens is desirable.

Excellent understanding of the electrical industry and the ability to read and interpret Electrical & Mechanical schematics.

Understanding of IT networks.

Working knowledge of AutoCAD.

Full UK driving licence.

Relevant controls training and proven experience with fault finding in electrical panels.

DBS vetting and potential BPSS vetting may be required.
