Air Conditioning Engineer (Service) needed

  • West Midlands We are looking for an Air Conditioning Engineer (Service) interested in service, maintenance, and repair work in the Dudley area.

Main Duties Include: Servicing, fault-finding, and maintenance of air conditioning systems within commercial, education, and retail premises.

Attend service and reactive breakdowns to fault find, diagnose and repair in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Use air-conditioning fault-finding experience to provide high levels of first-time fix and customer care.

Carry out responsive maintenance, service, and repairs as instructed.

Carry out servicing and safety checks on all air con systems.

Make immediate decisions regarding repair requirements and inform the relevant director.

Communicate with customers if repairs cannot be completed on the first visit and arrange return visits.

Direct helpers in assembly or installation of air con systems or components.

Liaise with management and/or client to ensure works are completed.

Ensure all works and repairs are completed safely and in accordance with codes and practices.

Adhere to client rules while on site.

Maintain training requirements and keep skills up to date.

Complete all relevant documentation promptly.

Use company vehicle, tools, and equipment safely and responsibly.

Conduct site audits, vehicle audits, post-work inspections, quotations, and engineer meetings.

Person Specification / Requirements: Recognised air conditioning apprenticeship.

Commercial air conditioning experience (fault finding, service, repair, maintenance). Working knowledge of test equipment including electrical multi-meter.

Flexible approach and willingness to be part of emergency call-out rota.

Full UK Driving Licence.

Enhanced DBS required due to nature of work.

Mobile role, travelling to multiple sites.
