The role is designed for experienced controllers who are fully licensed and endorsed to manage complex aircraft movements both on the ground and in controlled airspace.
The primary purpose is to ensure the safe, orderly, and efficient flow of air traffic in accordance with ICAO standards, local regulations, and the unit’s operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities Manage and control inbound, outbound, and surface/aerodrome aircraft movements, ensuring safe separation and efficient sequencing in accordance with ATCO licence privileges and competency endorsements.
Provide Air Traffic Services (ATS) in strict compliance with ICAO provisions, local regulatory requirements, and the unit’s operational instructions and procedures.
Make rapid, accurate decisions in a dynamic, high-pressure environment, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, situational awareness, and operational performance.
Actively support and adhere to the organization’s Safety Management System (SMS) and Quality Management System (QMS), contributing to a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Identify, escalate, and document abnormal events, hazards, and technical serviceability issues using the approved occurrence reporting and safety management processes.
Maintain operational currency and competence through regular participation in proficiency checks, simulation exercises, and ongoing professional development activities.
Collaborate with other controllers, pilots, technical staff, and airport stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and effective communication across all phases of aircraft movement.
Participate in operational improvement initiatives, including procedure reviews, incident debriefings, and implementation of new technologies or best practices.
Undertake additional operational or administrative duties as assigned to support service delivery and organizational objectives.
