About the Role:

Professional Inventories is seeking experienced and trainee Property Inventory Clerks to carry out property inspections across SE London and surrounding areas. This is a field-based, self-employed role offering flexible working hours and consistent work throughout the year. Full training will be provided for applicants without prior experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct property inventories, check-ins and check-outs
  • Inspect and record the condition of residential properties
  • Produce clear, accurate reports using a company iPad system
  • Take supporting photographs to document property condition
  • Liaise professionally with tenants, landlords and letting agents
  • Travel between multiple appointments daily

Working Pattern:

  • Flexible working hours based on availability
  • Typically between 08:00 and 18:00, Monday to Saturday
  • Work volume may vary daily (typically 1–5 appointments)
  • Increased workload during peak season (summer months)

Essential Requirements:

  • Must live within approximately 15–20 minutes of any of these areas: Sutton, Croydon, Fulham, Battersea, Bromley, Wandsworth, Greenwich
  • Access to own vehicle (car or motorbike)
  • Full UK driving licence and appropriate insurance
  • Reliable internet access at home
  • Good level of physical fitness (walking, stairs, standing)
  • Strong timekeeping and reliability

Skills and Experience:

  • Essential: Good attention to detail, ability to work independently, professional communication skills, basic IT confidence (training provided on systems)
  • Desirable (not essential): Experience in property, lettings, inspections, or inventories

Training:

  • Full training provided for trainee applicants
