Ipswich Golf Club is looking to recruit a full-time member of staff to join our Pro Shop team from 1 December 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and personable individual who enjoys being involved in the day-to‑day operation of a busy members’ golf club.
The role will have a strong focus on Pro Shop retail and golf administration, working alongside the Head Professional and existing team to provide a high standard of service to members and visitors.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing excellent customer service within the Pro Shop.
- Retail sales, merchandising and day-to‑day shop operations.
- Competition administration, including competition set‑up, entries, results and general golf administration.
- Assisting members and visitors with tee bookings, competitions and general golf enquiries.
- Supporting the Professional team with the smooth running of golf operations.
Additional skills that would be beneficial:
- Club repairs and re‑gripping.
- Golf coaching.
- Custom fitting knowledge and experience.
Experience in these areas would be an advantage, but they are not essential to the role.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, professional and comfortable working in a customer‑facing environment.
- Organised and confident with administration and computer systems.
- Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about golf.
- Interested in golf retail and delivering a high level of member service.
- Able to work effectively as part of a small Pro Shop team.
- Flexible and willing to work a mixture of weekdays and weekends.
This is a full-time position, with working hours structured around the requirements of the golf club and Pro Shop.
Salary and employment package will be dependent on experience and qualifications.
