Know golf? Good with people? We'll teach you the rest.
Jon Hodgkinson Golf Fitness is a golf-specific strength and conditioning studio in Dronfield, just south of Sheffield. Our clients are club golfers, mostly in their 50s, 60s and 70s, coached 1-to-1 or in small groups of up to three. They want a coach who understands their game, and that's the part we can't teach.
If you're a golf professional, a PGA trainee or a serious player, your golf knowledge is exactly what we need. We'll train you in our coaching method.
The role
- Coach golfers 1-to-1 and in small groups, using our established method.
- Run assessments and onboarding (full training provided).
- Help clients stay consistent with their training.
What we're looking for
- In-depth knowledge of golf. You play regularly, understand the swing and the game, and can talk golf with experienced club golfers from day one. This is essential.
- Warm, confident and personable, so clients trust you quickly.
- Happy to learn and follow our method.
- Ideally a Level 3 Personal Training qualification, held or close to completion, to coach on your own.
- Coaching experience, or experience with people in their 50s to 70s, is a plus but not essential.
Hours and pay
- Part time and employed: one to two days a week to start, with scope to grow.
- Sessions run 06:30-19:00. Availability for at least two morning or evening blocks a week is preferred, and Saturday mornings are a plus. School-hour patterns are welcome.
- Β£26,000-Β£31,000 full-time equivalent, pro rata, depending on experience and skills.
What you get
- Mentorship from Jon Hodgkinson, and a premium studio with a golf simulator.
- Clients who turn up, stick around and want to improve.
- Support with further qualifications beyond Level 3, room to grow and private medical insurance.
Applications close Sunday 15 November.
