Private Estate Fulltime, Temporary 6 month contract – Ozleworth
We are looking to recruit a reliable and motivated Gardener to join our team on a 6-month fixed term contract for the busy summer season, with the possibility of extension. This is a hands-on, outdoor position working within a small friendly team on a private estate near Wotton-under-Edge in Gloucestershire. You will support the maintenance of formal gardens some 12 acres, and assist with the upkeep of a wider 670 acre estate. This role would suit someone with solid practical experience who is looking to develop their skills further within a professional estate environment.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Grass Cutting, Strimming and mowing
- Hedge cutting and pruning
- Supporting a range of seasonal horticultural tasks
What we are looking for:
- At least 1–3 years’ practical gardening or horticultural experience
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather
Requirements:
- Possess a valid UK driving licence
Desirable (not essential):
- Holding relevant certificates such as spraying, chain-saw, ATV
- Basic plant knowledge
