Position Type: Full time

Location: London office. This is a hybrid role and so regular attendance in the office (for team meetings, specific projects etc.) will be required alongside remote/home working. The role may also require some travel.

The PFA is currently looking for an Academic Programme Co-ordinator who will be a key member of the team in co-ordinating all Academic Procedures and Programme Delivery at the Business School. The role will provide support to the Director of the PFA Business School and Academic Programme Managers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-ordinate and lead academic programmes, including all administration of weekly, monthly, and termly aspects.
  • Attend and co-ordinate online evening sessions on a weekly basis.
  • Co-ordinate with students regarding the details of delivery, academic requirements, and other general aspects.
  • Co-ordinate teachers and sessions (confirm teachers, schedules, invoicing and payments, etc.).
  • Monitor and track student progress through the duration of their programmes.
  • Co-ordinate with teachers to confirm the content of their sessions and monitor the delivery.
  • Support with university accreditation, assessments, and committees.
  • Manage virtual campus, media in the classroom and all tools needed for delivering the programmes.
  • Present the Business School portfolio to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Provide support to the Director of Business School, Academic Programme Managers and other stakeholders as required.
  • Inform new candidates about programme details, if required.
  • Ongoing general management of the Business School, and flexibility to undertake new tasks on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Support the Director and Programme Managers to design new programmes.
Essential Skills and Requirements
  • Strong administration and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, organise events or sessions efficiently and maintain accurate records to support the smooth delivery of weekly activities.
  • A proactive approach with strong initiative, a can-do attitude and the ability to work independently as a self-starter, to effectively manage responsibilities and drive tasks forward.
  • Good working knowledge of how Undergraduate and Postgraduate, MSc, MBA or Executive Master is delivered, and knowledge of universities and business schools of reference.
  • Comfortable working in complex multi-stakeholder projects and/or training projects.
  • Strong communicator, empathetic and personable.
  • Adaptable and open to change.
  • Approachable and low-ego personality.
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Possibility of travel.
  • A willingness to regularly work outside of normal working hours, particularly in the evenings, is essential to support the key responsibility of attending and co-ordinating weekly online evening sessions.
Desirable
  • Experience in Academic Programme delivery and co-ordination at Business Schools/Universities.
  • Knowledge of online platforms to administer learning materials such as LMS (Learning Machine Systems) / Virtual Campus.
  • Postgraduate qualification specialising in Sport Management.
  • Has previously studied in a Business School.
  • Experience of working in football or other sports.
  • Additional language skills.
