PCM TRIALS provides quality, in-home clinical trial visits for our Sponsor and CRO partners. We’re the only company that hires, certifies, tests, manages and trains our own Certified Mobile Research Nurses (CMRNs) in study protocol standards. Our mission is to bring clinical trial visits to subjects wherever they may be to increase convenience to the subject, reduce barriers to participating in clinical research for the development of new treatments for conditions with high unmet need and compliance with Good Clinical Practice. We have an upcoming paediatric study requiring home infusion visits with children aged 4-13 years old. This role will require you to have full competency in venepuncture and phlebotomy, IV infusions, and performing full head-to-toe physical assessments with children, including using a stethoscope to assess the cardiovascular, GI and respiratory systems. Competencies in these clinical skills is a prerequisite for consideration for this role. This is a community-based role and so a full driving license with access to your own vehicle is required. We will consider an equivalent qualification from outside of the UK if you have already transferred to the UK and are registered with the NMC as a Registered Pediatric Nurse. Competency in performing head-to-toe physical assessments with patients is required for this role A clean DBS check with no safeguarding bars or unspent criminal convictions is required for this role Two (2) years of Phlebotomy/Peripheral Blood Draw (must include venepuncture), IV Infusion, and Subcutaneous Injection experience (date of last practice within 6 months) Skilled at collecting accurate, detailed patient records including documentation of medical history and medication charting Excellent observational, verbal, written communication, and problem-solving skills Must have and maintain a current CPR certification Must have and maintain a current immunisation record as required to practice by the NHS Professional fluency in English is essential Clean driving license with access to own vehicle and car insurance valid for business use Preferred Qualifications Qualified Advanced Physical Assessment and Consultation Skills (APACS) would be advantageous but not required as long as you are competent in performing full head-to-toe physical assessments with patients Experience in clinical research would be an advantage but is not essential as training is provided Ability to speak other languages would be an advantage but is not a requirement Please contact Roxie Parkins at Roxie.Parkins@pcmtrials.com today to learn more about our opportunities where you can make a difference in your own career!
