We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Buyer who is passionate about materials procurement and operational efficiency in manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in supplier management and cost optimisation.
At Professional Beauty Systems you will play a crucial role in supporting our production goals by ensuring we have the best quality materials at competitive prices, contributing directly to our success and growth.
The Role & Responsibilities
- The primary responsibilities of a Buyer include the strategic sourcing of materials and services, managing procurement processes, and optimizing cost without compromising on quality.
- Developing and executing procurement strategies that align with company goals.
- Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
- Performing cost analyses and setting benchmarks for quality and cost.
- Ensuring timely delivery of materials and services from vendors.
- Conducting market research to stay updated on industry trends and new suppliers.
- Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Managing inventory levels to optimize stock turnover and reduce holding costs.
Knowledge & Experience
- Proven experience of 2+ years in a procurement or purchasing role, preferably in the FMCG sector.
- Strong knowledge of procurement and vendor management software.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft software.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- CIPS qualification is desirable.
