As a Regulatory Chemist, you will be responsible for supporting all activities related to Regulatory linked to new and existing product development. You will ensure finished product compliance and support export teams with market registration requirements. Provide NPD with support and guidance for new products development in line with existing and upcoming regulatory changes, managing through regulatory changes as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting senior colleagues with global regulatory strategies and compliance.
- Collaborating on new registration into UK, EU, US, Middle East and RoW markets.
- Support NPD, Labelling, Compliance, post marketing activities while also driving strategies.
- Ensuring compliance of finished product composition, labelling and communication.
- Gather regulatory intelligence, monitor cosmetic law changes and perform impact assessment on company products.
- Review and approve promotional and advertising information to ensure they are compliant with local regulations.
- Liaise with external regulatory bodies, and establish and maintain good relationships with enforcement authorities.
- Provide technical and regulatory advice.
- Support in the development of regulatory strategy/risk assessments to support growth funnel business plans.
Requirements
- University degree in life sciences, Biomedical science, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years + of experience working in regulatory affairs within the personal care industry.
- Experience supporting new registrations, NPD, labelling, compliance and post marketing activities.
- Experience formulating personal care products an advantage but not essential.
- A strong communicator who is confident with working with senior internal and external stakeholders.
- This role will require someone who can multi-task a number of projects at one time with minimal help from colleagues.
- The business is looking for someone with excellent communication, detail drive, a hard-worker and a motivated individual.
