Professional Beauty Group runs market-leading business magazines, websites and events under the Aesthetic Medicine and Professional Beauty brands. Our key audience includes beauty clinic and salon owners, aesthetic doctors and beauty therapists.

We’re looking for a full-time editorial assistant to support the editorial and content team across our market-leading magazines, websites, social media channels and events. You’ll play a pivotal role in the magazines, websites, awards, exhibitions and conferences and learn from our small, friendly team of experienced beauty journalists.

Key activities:

  • Writing news and features for web and print
  • Creating and scheduling video and image-based content for social media
  • Interviewing key industry figures
  • Contributing content ideas in planning meetings
  • Uploading content for the websites
  • Liaising with clients, PRs and conference speakers
  • General admin and office support
  • Attending and reporting from launches and events

Requirements:

  • A degree in a relevant subject such as journalism or media
  • At least one year’s experience in journalism or a comparable role
  • Strong organisational skills and a meticulous eye for detail
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Experience of writing for print and online
  • Experience of SEO and analytics
  • Creative and willing to put forward ideas
  • Confident manner on the phone and in face-to-face meetings
  • Numeracy and an ability to analyse statistics
  • Competency using software programmes including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience of website content management systems such as WordPress, and design tools including InDesign and Canva is a bonus
