Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, is now recruiting for a SIOP Manager to lead the end‑to‑end Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning process within our MRO business. This key role aligns customer demand, operational capacity, inventory strategy and financial objectives through a structured, data‑driven planning cycle.

We are seeking an experienced, analytical and collaborative SIOP Manager to lead and continuously improve the SIOP process within our MRO environment. The role is accountable for bringing together demand, supply, inventory, operational capacity and financial planning to support clear, informed decision‑making. Working cross‑functionally with Sales, Operations, Planning, Supply Chain, Engineering, Programmes and Finance, the SIOP Manager will improve forecast accuracy, strengthen planning discipline and help balance service levels, cost, inventory investment and operational efficiency. The SIOP Manager will operate at both a strategic and operational level, translating business priorities into structured planning processes, clear governance and actionable plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the SIOP cycle across monthly and quarterly planning cadences, ensuring consistent execution across demand planning, supply planning, reconciliation and executive review.
  • Consolidate and validate demand inputs from customer contracts, forecasts, historical trends and commercial opportunities; challenge assumptions to ensure plans are realistic, data‑driven and aligned to business strategy.
  • Oversee alignment of supply plans with demand and operational capacity; identify constraints, risks and opportunities and drive corrective action where performance is off track.
  • Define and manage inventory strategies across key MRO categories, balancing inventory investment with service levels, risk and working capital objectives.
  • Track and report performance against plan, including forecast accuracy, service levels, inventory turns and other key SIOP metrics; develop dashboards and reporting frameworks to support operational and executive decision‑making.
  • Provide key planning inputs into budgeting and financial forecasting cycles, ensuring SIOP outputs are aligned with financial plans and supporting scenario planning and trade‑off decisions.
  • Facilitate cross‑functional decision‑making, lead executive SIOP reviews and continuously improve SIOP processes, governance, tools, reporting standards and ways of working.

Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Bring:

  • Strong experience in SIOP, S&OP, demand planning or supply chain leadership within an MRO, aviation, aerospace or complex manufacturing environment.
  • Deep understanding of integrated business planning, including demand, supply, inventory and financial alignment.
  • Experience managing complex demand streams and long‑lead supply chains.
  • Strong analytical capability with experience in forecasting, scenario modelling and performance reporting.
  • Proven ability to influence and align senior stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Experience driving process standardisation, governance and continuous improvement.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the confidence to challenge assumptions constructively.
  • A structured, data‑driven approach to planning, decision‑making and performance management.

You Will Also Have:

  • Experience developing dashboards, reporting frameworks and SIOP performance metrics.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and planning/reporting tools.
  • The ability to translate complex data into clear insights, risks and recommendations.
