Profectus Recruitment is proud to be supporting an innovative technology business operating at the intersection of digital payments, fintech and mobility services. We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with a background in EV charging, mobility technology and digital payments to help drive the evolution of a large scale payments platform operating within a highly regulated environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Product Owner who enjoys working closely with engineering teams, stakeholders and external delivery partners to shape product roadmaps and deliver meaningful customer outcomes.
The Role
As Product Owner, you will take ownership of the product backlog, translating strategic objectives into clear user stories, requirements and deliverable work packages for engineering teams. You will act as the bridge between technical and business stakeholders, ensuring priorities remain aligned while supporting the successful delivery of new platform capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring work is prioritised effectively
- Translate business requirements into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria
- Work closely with engineering teams throughout the software delivery lifecycle
- Collaborate with stakeholders across product, operations, compliance and commercial functions
- Support sprint planning, backlog refinement and review sessions
- Manage relationships with external technology delivery partners
- Monitor delivery progress, identify risks and help remove blockers
- Ensure solutions meet both customer and regulatory requirements
Skills and Experience
- At least 5 years experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager or similar product focused role
- Strong background within fintech, payments or regulated digital services
- Experience within EV charging, eMobility or wider mobility technology platforms
- Strong understanding of payment processing, transaction lifecycles and third party payment integrations
- Experience working within Agile software development environments
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business requirements
Desirable Experience
- Knowledge of EV roaming, OCPP, OCPI or charging network operations
- Exposure to APIs, cloud based platforms and modern software architectures
- Experience working with compliance, fraud prevention or risk management platforms
- Understanding of PSD2, AML, PCI DSS or similar regulatory frameworks
