Profectus are working with a growing organisation who are looking to recruit a Buyer to join their Procurement team. This role will focus on procurement, purchasing, supplier management and contract procurement, managing service and maintenance contracts and ensuring suppliers deliver value, service levels and commercial performance.

This role would suit someone currently working as a Buyer, Procurement Officer, Procurement Specialist or Purchasing Executive looking to develop their career within procurement and supplier management. CIPS Level 3 or Level 4 qualified or working towards is essential.

The Role

The Buyer will be responsible for managing procurement activities across a portfolio of suppliers and contracts. The Buyer will work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to manage procurement contracts, renewals, pricing negotiations and supplier performance.

Buyer Procurement Responsibilities

  • Managing procurement and purchasing activities across suppliers and service contracts
  • Negotiating pricing, terms and conditions with suppliers
  • Managing supplier relationships and supplier performance
  • Managing contract renewals and procurement documentation
  • Raising purchase orders and maintaining procurement records
  • Supporting procurement strategy and cost saving initiatives
  • Producing procurement reports on spend, suppliers and contracts
  • Working with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement contracts meet business requirements
  • Supporting supplier relationship management and procurement improvements

Requirements

  • Experience working in a Buyer, Procurement or Purchasing role
  • CIPS Level 3 or Level 4 qualified or working towards is essential
  • Experience managing suppliers, contracts and procurement processes
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management experience
  • Good commercial awareness and procurement understanding
  • Strong Excel and systems experience
