We are currently looking for an experienced Network Engineer to support a major network transformation project based in Newcastle. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced deployment environment, working alongside a Lead Consultant on a high-profile infrastructure refresh.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of a large-scale network transformation project
  • Assist with the pre-configuration and staging of network hardware
  • Support installation and deployment of equipment into comms rooms
  • Carry out patching and migration activities from legacy to new infrastructure
  • Provide troubleshooting and triage support during deployment activities
  • Work closely with the Lead Consultant to ensure smooth project delivery

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong background in network transformation / infrastructure deployment projects
  • Experience working with HPE and/or Juniper networking technologies
  • Comfortable supporting installations, migrations, and troubleshooting in live environments
  • Strong hands-on networking skills and ability to work independently on-site

Desirable Skills

  • Aruba ClearPass experience
  • Fortinet experience

Contract Details

  • Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne
  • Contract Length: Initial 3 months with potential extension
  • Day Rate: Up to £400 per day
  • IR35 Status: Outside IR35
