Profectus Recruitment are currently supporting a growing SaaS organisation with the appointment of a Business Development Manager focused on the Healthcare sector. This is a commercially focused role combining both new business generation and strategic account management across NHS and wider public sector environments. The successful individual will play a key role in driving growth, developing long-term client relationships, and positioning a secure SaaS platform and associated professional services within highly regulated environments. The role would suit someone experienced in selling SaaS, software solutions, or professional services into Healthcare / NHS environments who enjoys managing longer, consultative sales cycles.

Location – UK (Hybrid / Remote with occasional travel to client sites in London & South West England)

About the Opportunity

Key Responsibilities – Business Development

  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities across Healthcare and public sector organisations
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of new logo opportunities
  • Engage senior stakeholders across IT, Digital, Security, Transformation, and Commercial functions
  • Manage consultative sales cycles from initial engagement through to close
  • Support framework, bid, and tender opportunities
  • Drive revenue growth through a combination of strategic business development and relationship management

Key Responsibilities – Account Management

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of existing customer accounts
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services and solutions
  • Build trusted, long-term customer relationships
  • Develop strategic account plans focused on retention and growth
  • Act as a key commercial contact for customers within regulated environments

Skills & Experience – Essential

  • Proven success selling into UK Healthcare / NHS environments
  • Demonstrable track record of winning new business and growing existing accounts
  • Experience selling SaaS, software, or professional services
  • Understanding of public sector procurement and framework agreements
