Profectus Recruitment are delighted to be partnered with a leading healthcare technology organisation as they continue to expand their Managed Equipment Services capability. As part of this growth, they are looking to appoint a Head of Implementation to lead the successful delivery of complex medical equipment installation, deployment and decommissioning projects across healthcare environments.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing large scale medical equipment programmes from planning and installation through to clinical handover and end of life disposal. You'll lead a team of project professionals and work closely with NHS stakeholders, clinical teams, IT departments and external suppliers to ensure projects are delivered safely, compliantly and commercially.

The Role

As Head of Implementation, you will take ownership of the implementation function, ensuring the successful deployment of medical equipment across multiple healthcare sites while maintaining exceptional client relationships and delivering against contractual KPIs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the strategic planning and delivery of medical equipment deployment programmes
  • Managing installation, testing and commissioning activities across healthcare environments
  • Driving continuous improvement across implementation processes and standards
  • Leading and developing a team of Project Managers and specialist contractors
  • Managing budgets, resource allocation and financial performance across projects
  • Developing and monitoring KPIs relating to delivery, performance and cost efficiency
  • Building strong relationships with NHS stakeholders, suppliers and implementation partners
  • Ensuring compliance with UK and European regulations, guidance and industry best practice
  • Supporting new business initiatives by providing implementation expertise and leadership
  • Acting as the senior escalation point for implementation related issues across customer sites

What We're Looking For

We're keen to speak with experienced implementation, project delivery or programme leadership professionals who can demonstrate:

  • Significant experience delivering large scale medical equipment installation programmes
  • Experience working within NHS and/or private healthcare environments
  • Strong commercial awareness and contract management expertise
  • A proven track record of leading cross functional teams and complex stakeholder environments
  • Strong knowledge of medical device technologies and equipment lifecycle management
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Experience working with senior clinical, operational and IT stakeholders
  • The ability to balance customer expectations with commercial objectives
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, develop and motivate high performing teams
