Profectus Recruitment is partnered with a highly regulated financial services company to hire a strategic Data Architect. This role will play a key part in shaping enterprise-wide data governance, architecture and content management as the business continues its journey towards more modern, cloud-native platforms. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys autonomy, building things properly, and driving governance frameworks that stick, not just creating documents.
Culture is important: you’ll be joining a collaborative, stakeholder-led environment where influencing and relationship building are as important as technical capability. Hybrid working: 2 days per week on-site.
What they’re looking for:
- Strong experience in data architecture / data governance within financial services or another highly regulated environment
- Confident building data governance frameworks (policies, standards, stewardship, lifecycle governance)
- Comfortable working with both structured and unstructured data (e.g. data lakes + content management)
- Strong stakeholder engagement – able to influence and align business areas around data ownership, metadata and quality
- Experience establishing governance forums/councils and driving a data-driven culture
Nice to have (not essential):
- Cloud exposure (Azure / Fabric / Power BI) and modern data platforms (warehouse, ETL/ELT)
- Experience with tooling such as data catalogues / metadata management / data quality tools
