Commercial Analyst Reading | Permanent | Hybrid We’re working with an established organisation that is looking for an experienced Commercial Analyst to join its Commercial Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded analyst with Advanced Excel and financial modelling experience to play a key role in supporting business growth and decision-making. You’ll work closely with Finance, Sales, Operations, Account Management and Business Development, maintaining and developing complex Excel-based models and providing commercial insight across long-term contracts and new business opportunities. Key responsibilities: Maintain and develop complex Excel-based financial models Support pricing, bids, tenders and new business cases Review and sense-check cost inputs from Sales and Operations Analyse pricing, margins and contract profitability Process contract variations and update financial models Produce KPIs, management information and contract analysis Maintain billing schedules and Excel templates Present financial information clearly to stakeholders Challenge assumptions and provide commercially focused analysis We’re looking for someone with: 10+ years’ relevant commercial/analytical experience Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas Strong financial modelling experience Experience supporting bids, tenders or business cases Commercial awareness across pricing, margins and profitability Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills Confidence working with and challenging stakeholders A structured, methodical approach Degree-level education This is a commercial role rather than an accountancy position, so an accountancy qualification is not required.
