Profectus are working with a growing IT services business in Liverpool looking to appoint an Operations Manager to support and drive its next phase of growth across the group. This is a pivotal, hands-on role with a strong commercial focus. A key part of the remit is helping the business grow its various offerings by bringing structure, consistency, and proven sales thinking into how it operates.
The role
- Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple areas of the business, ensuring things run smoothly and priorities are clear.
- Play a central role in supporting and driving sales-led growth across different parts of the organisation.
- Apply practical experience of what works commercially, helping turn ideas into repeatable, deliverable outcomes.
- Bring organisation and structure to a fast-moving environment, managing time, workload, and competing demands effectively.
- Work closely with leadership to improve performance, decision-making, and execution.
- Act as a bridge between commercial and technical teams, keeping conversations aligned and grounded in reality.
What we’re looking for
- Experience in a commercially focused role where sales or revenue growth formed a meaningful part of your responsibility.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own time without heavy process or oversight.
- A practical, delivery-focused mindset with confidence in making decisions and following them through.
- Comfortable working in smaller businesses or scale-ups where you’ve had to wear multiple hats.
- Technically aware enough to hold credible conversations with technical teams and clients, without needing to be hands-on.
- Open to learning and adapting, with the right mindset outweighing sector-specific experience.
Background that would suit this role
- Someone from a smaller IT, technology or SaaS business who’s been involved in both operations and sales.
- A commercially minded operator looking to step up into a broader, more influential role.
- Experience in SaaS or recurring revenue environments would be beneficial, but not essential.
- MSP experience is not required if you bring the right approach and thinking.
Why join
- A chance to take on a genuinely influential role in a growing business.
- Real scope to shape how sales, operations, and delivery work together.
- Close exposure to leadership and decision-making.
- An environment where impact matters more than job titles or rigid processes.
