The Mission
Are you a Senior Engineer who lives for the Build? We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer who prefers the front lines of project delivery over the monotony of basic maintenance. This is a senior, technical delivery role where you aren’t just another cog in the machine. You will be the technical authority on-site, taking ownership of enterprise-level projects from the initial design phase through to implementation and final handover.
Why This is the "One"
- The Variety: Your week might start with a high-level design for a new client and end with hands-on engineering in a Tier-3 Data Centre.
- The Support: You’re joining a heavy-hitting 8-person Infrastructure team, backed by a 20-strong Helpdesk and a dedicated 5-man Security department.
- The Travel: While your home base is Basildon, you’ll be out at client sites across Essex & London.
- Zero Out-of-Pocket: When you’re on the road all mileage, hotels, and food are reimbursed.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the Charge: Act as the technical lead on diverse customer projects, spanning compute, storage, networking, and virtualization.
- Platform Innovation: It’s not just about the clients; you’ll drive internal platform improvements and lifecycle upgrades to keep the firm at the cutting edge.
- Expert Consulting: Work directly with stakeholders to define project scope, manage technical risks, and ensure solutions are production-ready.
- Hands-on Engineering: From rack-and-stack in the Data Centre to complex virtualisation deployments, you’ll remain 100% hands-on.
Your Technical Toolkit
- Proven Experience: You’ve cut your teeth in an MSP or Data Centre environment.
- The Core: Deep technical knowledge of Virtualisation, Storage, and Networking.
- Project Mindset: You understand that a project isn’t finished until the documentation is perfect and the BAU team is fully briefed.
- Communication: You can translate complex tech into business value for clients.
If you are tired of being stuck behind a desk and ready to lead high-impact infrastructure builds, we want to talk to you.
