A leading national autism assessment provider seeks experienced Locum Consultants, Specialty Doctors or GPwERs in Psychiatry to join its established diagnostic service. Working with pre-screened cases from specialist autism coordinators, you'll deliver comprehensive autism assessments for adults and young people across the full diagnostic spectrum, either remotely or on-site in London.
Key Details & Benefits
- £200-£300 per assessment (experience dependent)
- 5-10 assessments weekly (flexible volume)
- 2-4 hours per full assessment including report

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive autism diagnostic assessments (90-120 mins) via secure video or face-to-face
- Apply DSM-5/ICD-11 diagnostic criteria with structured tools (ADOS-2, ADI-R, AQ)
- Assess complex presentations including co-occurring conditions (ADHD, anxiety, mood disorders)
- Write detailed diagnostic reports with recommendations
- Provide follow-up consultations and liaison with referrers
- Participate in quarterly MDT calibration and clinical governance meetings
Requirements:
- Full GMC registration with psychiatry experience
- Proven autism assessment experience (private/independent sector desirable)
- Comfortable with remote video platforms or London on-site work
