A leading national autism assessment provider seeks experienced Locum Clinical Psychologists to join its established diagnostic service. Working with pre-screened cases from specialist autism coordinators, you'll deliver expert ADOS assessments for adults and young people across the full diagnostic spectrum, either remotely or on-site in London.
Key Details & Benefits:
- £100-£200 per assessment (experience dependent)
- 5-10 assessments weekly (flexible volume)
- 2-3 hours per full ADOS assessment including report
- Technical support for secure video platforms
- Admin support for referrals, scheduling and reporting
- Clinical support: Access to autism MDT, psychiatrists and specialist advisors
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct gold-standard ADOS-2 assessments (60-90 mins) via secure video or face-to-face
- Apply DSM-5/ICD-11 autism diagnostic criteria with comprehensive clinical observation
- Assess complex presentations with co-occurring conditions (ADHD, anxiety, intellectual disability)
- Complete detailed diagnostic reports with clear recommendations
- Provide clinical liaison with referrers and multi-agency teams
- Contribute to quarterly MDT calibration and clinical governance meetings
Requirements:
- HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist
- Proven ADOS-2 autism assessment experience (private/independent sector desirable)
- Experience with adult and adolescent autism presentations
- Comfortable with remote video assessments or London on-site delivery
