We are seeking passionate and skilled Child Psychiatrists in Canterbury to support a remote ASD and ADHD assessment pathway. You will deliver structured neurodevelopmental assessments for children and young people aged 5‑18, completing detailed clinical interviews, reviewing developmental histories, and evaluating behavioural and educational information. Working remotely, you will follow NICE‑aligned diagnostic processes, producing clear and comprehensive reports that guide treatment recommendations and next steps for families. You will be fully supported by robust governance, administrative, and clinical systems while maintaining full flexibility over your schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive ASD and ADHD assessments for children and young people aged 5‑18.
- Review developmental histories, educational reports, behavioural questionnaires, and previous clinical records.
- Carry out structured clinical interviews with children, parents, and carers.
- Formulate accurate diagnoses and produce detailed, evidence‑based clinical reports.
- Provide clinical recommendations for treatment planning, educational support, and ongoing care pathways.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) when required, including safeguarding discussions.
- Maintain high standards of clinical documentation in line with NICE guidance and professional standards.
- Participate in remote or virtual clinics using secure platforms, ensuring patient confidentiality and safety.
- Stay up to date with current research and best practice in neurodevelopmental assessment.
Requirements
- GMC Specialist Registration in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Proven experience in ASD/ADHD diagnostic work.
- Right to work in the UK.
