Job Description
We are seeking a committed and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join an established mental health provider in Manchester , supporting both Acute and Rehabilitation Psychiatry services. As a Psychiatrist , you will assess, diagnose, and treat adults with a range of complex mental health conditions. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team (MDT) , you\’ll provide holistic, person-centred care and play a key role in service development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead acute and rehab ward rounds, risk reviews, and strategic planning meetings.
- Provide expert psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and care planning.
- Act as the Responsible Clinician (RC) under the Mental Health Act 1983 .
- Oversee referrals, admissions, and pre-admission assessments.
- Deliver leadership and supervision to the MDT.
- Foster a safe, therapeutic, and recovery-orientated environment.
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement and clinical governance.
