Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our client in Derbyshire, delivering expert psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatments within a well-established adult mental health service. This pivotal leadership role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality, patient-centred care for adults with complex mental health needs, including rehabilitation support, risk management, and care pathway coordination in a supportive clinical environment committed to clinical excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and diagnoses
  • Develop and implement personalised treatment plans
  • Collaborate with MDTs including psychologists, nurses and social care
  • Manage adult patient caseloads across mental health services
  • Lead rehabilitation programmes and complex case management
  • Provide clinical supervision to junior medical staff
  • Contribute to service development and quality improvement

Requirements:

  • GMC registration with specialist training in psychiatry
  • Experience within mental health services, preferably including rehabilitation
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
