We are working with a forward-thinking and inclusive GP practice located in Birmingham, committed to delivering patient-centred care with a strong focus on innovation, prevention, and clinical excellence. They are currently seeking a motivated and clinically driven GP Pharmacist who is either undertaking or has recently completed an Independent Prescriber (IP) course to join their dynamic multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct medication reviews and support medicines optimisation strategies.
  • Assist with prescribing audits, repeat prescribing processes, and formulary adherence.
  • Provide clinical support to GPs and practice staff in managing patients with chronic diseases (e.g., hypertension, asthma, diabetes).
  • Support patients with medication queries, adherence, and education.
  • Develop prescribing competencies under supervision (if still completing IP course).
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and practice development.

Requirements:

  • Registered Pharmacist with the GPhC.
  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed an accredited Independent Prescribing course.
