Profac Limited is a specialist façade and cladding contractor delivering high-quality external envelope solutions across the UK. As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Construction Director to lead our construction operations from our North West base and support the delivery of major façade projects nationwide.
This is a strategic leadership role for an accomplished construction professional with extensive experience in the façades and cladding sector and a thorough understanding of the Building Safety Act 2022 and associated regulations.
The Role
- Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Construction Director will be responsible for leading all construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, profitably, and in full compliance with current legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership across all construction operations.
- Ensure full compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022, Building Regulations, and all associated statutory requirements.
- Lead the implementation and management of dutyholder responsibilities and building safety compliance processes.
- Oversee project delivery, programme management, quality assurance, health and safety, and operational performance.
- Manage and develop construction teams, project managers, site managers, and subcontractors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, principal contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Support business growth through operational excellence and successful project delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement in construction processes, safety culture, and quality standards.
Essential Requirements
- Significant senior leadership experience within the façades, cladding, or building envelope sector.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022, Gateway processes, Golden Thread requirements, and dutyholder obligations.
- Proven experience delivering façade packages on residential, commercial, mixed-use, and high-rise developments.
- Strong understanding of façade systems, fire safety requirements, remediation works, and compliance standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercially astute with a proven track record of delivering projects successfully.
- Relevant construction qualification (Degree, HNC/HND, CIOB or equivalent).
Desirable
- Chartered status (MCIOB or equivalent).
- Experience delivering higher-risk building projects.
- NEBOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification.
- Experience managing large-scale remediation and recladding schemes.
