The Warehouse Technician works in the warehouse, assisting with the preparation and dispatch of hire equipment. The role provides support to ensure the operation delivers exceptional service to customers, meeting the business requirements.

The role includes developing preparation processes and implementing improvements to enhance team effectiveness and efficiency. You may be required to assist or cover other roles within the operation, with full training and support provided.

Day-to-day tasks:

  • Preparing, assembling, and de-preparing speakers, cable systems, signal patching, and mains distribution systems.
  • Assisting in specialized departments such as desk prep, amp prep, and RF as needed.
  • Ensuring equipment is delivered on time with proper packaging and documentation.
  • Reporting anomalies, lost, stolen, or damaged equipment immediately to managers.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and tidy hire preparation area.
  • Assisting with loading and unloading courier/transport vehicles.
  • Communicating professionally with third parties and customers to provide high-quality support and adhere to Solotech standards.
  • Communicating effectively within the business and with external contacts, both written and verbal.
  • Working as a team to develop positive relationships with colleagues, departments, and external contacts.
  • Performing any other reasonable tasks as requested by your manager.

Your profile:

  • Good administrative skills.
  • Willingness and ability to learn quickly.
  • Proficient with computers and database use.
  • Initiative and ability to work independently, knowing when to ask questions.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours as needed.
  • Experience in the audio industry is advantageous.
  • Experience in a similar role is advantageous.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years in a similar role.

Level of Education:

  • Industry-related degree or equivalent.
