At Productboard, we're building the first agentic product management system. We're rethinking how product management is done in a world full of AI agents, and how we help our customers build what matters for their audience. AI is changing what an interface even is: static screens are giving way to conversations, generated artifacts, rich interactive UI, and open-ended workflows, often on the same screen.
The aim is to make Productboard one coherent product that people and agents both use. You will own the conceptual model and the MCP tool surface that exposes it, ensuring that Spark, the UI, and outside agents all speak the same language.
Responsibilities
- Conceptual model: Define and evolve Productboard's conceptual model: one name per concept (feedback, insight, feature, release), what each one means, and how they relate.
- Information architecture: Design and prototype how the conceptual model becomes structure in the UI: what sits where, what a user sees first, how they move between objects.
- Agent interface: Own the MCP tool surface: which tools exist, their granularity, names, descriptions, responses and errors, built on the same conceptual model as the UI.
- Human and agent interaction: Define how users meet Spark, trust its output, delegate and stay in control.
- Approval moments: Decide what agents do alone and what needs a human review.
- Measurement: Define evals for key agent tasks and validate the conceptual model with users.
- Technical and design alignment: Partner with engineers so the UX architecture and the technical architecture match.
- Internal AI tooling: Contribute to the internal AI tooling the design and product teams already use, and build new tools of your own.
Primary requirements
- Information architecture: Deep grasp of IA principles and methods.
- Systems thinking about agents: Designs flows where an agent acts, asks or fails.
- AI first: Uses agents daily for research, prototyping and building.
- Prototyping in code: Builds working prototypes with coding agents.
Experience
- A portfolio of product work you identified, designed, prototyped and shipped with a team.
- Roughly 8+ years in product design, with structure as your strongest work.
- Daily use of coding agents and AI prototyping tools.
- MCP or other agent tool surface work is a strong plus.
What's in it for you
- You will own the shape of a product that people and agents use at the same time.
- The conceptual model, the navigation and the MCP tool surface are yours.
- Prototypes, not mockups: you build the prototype in code with coding agents.
- Team tooling is in scope.
- Staff or Principal scope with a direct line to the CTO.
Our benefits include:
- 5 weeks of paid time off per year.
- 9 paid sick days per year, also for mental-health days.
- 1 paid Volunteer Day per year.

- One-off home-office stipend.
