The Company: When it comes to digital communities, The Alliance is leading the way. Product marketing, sales enablement, product-led growth, AI, customer success, CMOs, you name it, we’re home to thriving communities for them all. With 70,000+ professionals across our communities and a constant stream of events, memberships, and learning products, we help individuals and teams grow faster in their careers. We work with some of the world’s most recognisable companies and pride ourselves on being a high-impact learning partner, not just another events business. We’re ambitious, we move quickly, and we’re still early in the journey. That means real ownership, a steep learning curve, and plenty of opportunity to shape what comes next.
About the Role: We’re hiring early-career Sales Associates to join our Delegate & Membership sales team, people with energy, curiosity, and the drive to build a career in commercial roles. This is a junior role by design. You don’t need years of experience, what matters most is how quickly you learn, how well you take feedback, and how comfortable you are being challenged. We’ll teach you how to sell properly: how to prospect, qualify, handle objections, manage a pipeline, and close, all while speaking to senior decision-makers at some of the world’s biggest tech companies. You’ll sell across our live events, memberships, and learning solutions in markets including London, New York, San Francisco, Las Vegas and beyond. Over time, this role can progress into more senior sales or specialist commercial paths across the business. This role is not about arriving fully formed, it’s about building and proving confidence, capability, and momentum through doing.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Sales Upskilling: You’ll build strong foundations in prospecting, qualification, pipeline management, and closing, while learning how to sell confidently to senior B2B stakeholders and work to clear targets and expectations.
- Engaging decision-makers: You’ll speak directly with professionals at fast-growing and enterprise tech companies, understand their challenges, and recommend the right events, memberships, and learning solutions.
- Owning deals end-to-end: You’ll own your pipeline from first contact through to close and handover, taking accountability for outcomes and using feedback and data to improve week by week.
- Product mastery: You’ll develop strong knowledge of our events, memberships, and education ecosystem, enabling confident and relevant cross-selling.
- Collaboration & feedback: You’ll work closely with marketing, product, community, and customer success teams, sharing insights and operating with autonomy while knowing when to ask for support.
This Role Is For You If:
- You’re early in your career and hungry to learn, not entitled to results.
- You’re comfortable being uncomfortable while learning something new.
- You actively seek feedback and apply it quickly.
- You take ownership for outcomes, not just effort.
- You’re resilient, organised, and able to manage pace and pressure.
- You communicate clearly with customers and with teammates.
- You enjoy working as part of a team where success is shared.
Our Hiring Process: Our hiring process is designed to reflect how we actually work: collaborative, practical, and focused on potential rather than polish. First interview (values, motivation, and learning mindset). One-day assessment in our London office (practical exercises, collaboration, and real-world sales scenarios). Final shortlist: up to 3 candidates selected into an onboarding cohort, starting together and learning side-by-side. This process helps us understand how you think, learn, and show up — not just how well you interview.
Compensation: Base Salary £26,500 - 28,000 range depending on experience. Commissions: Year 1 OTE £35,000; Year 2 OTE £55,000.
Core Benefits:
- Enhanced paid holiday: 34 days including UK Bank holidays and a day off on your birthday.
- Private Medical & Dental.
- Life Insurance: (4 x salary).
- Flexible hours policy allows you to structure your work for when you’re most productive.
- Extensive tech gear kit.
Wellbeing Benefits:
- On-demand therapy, coaching & mental fitness via Oliva.
- Heavily subsidised gym membership via Gympass.
- Cycle to work & Workplace Nursery schemes.
- Flexible benefits via the ThanksBen platform (Allowance is to spend on anything that makes you happy. £600 annually in year 1 - scaling year on year up to £1,980+).
Learning & Development:
- Personal L&D budget (£500 annually in year 1 - scaling year on year up to £3,000+).
- Volunteer & L&D Days: 1 paid day per quarter for either L&D or Volunteer activities.
Community and Inclusion: We are committed to creating a workplace that is free from discrimination and bias, and where everyone has equal opportunities to succeed and contribute. We acknowledge that our work here is never done - and we promise to continue striving for inclusivity every day. If you’re worried you don’t quite hit all the requirements we’ve listed, don’t let that hold you back from submitting your application! Unique backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives are essential for our ability to innovate and grow, so if you think you’d be a great fit then we’d love to hear from you.
