As a QA Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic quality initiatives throughout various groups and projects.

You will partner closely with leaders in Development, Product, and Build to embed quality at scale, accelerate delivery confidence, and continuously raise QA maturity across the organisation.

What You'll Do

  • Define and lead QA strategy across multiple teams and domains, aligned with product and engineering roadmaps.
  • Establish and maintain a scalable quality operating model, including standards, guardrails, cadences, and governance.
  • Lead cross-team initiatives to improve quality, velocity, collaboration, and predictability of releases.
  • Represent QA in planning meetings, helping leadership make informed trade-offs based on risk and data.
  • Build positive relationships with Engineering, Product, and Compose leadership to ensure quality is owned end-to-end.
  • Develop scalable testing frameworks and strategies spanning API, UI, integration, and end-to-end layers.
  • Champion full-stack quality practices to ensure seamless coverage from backend services to client experiences.
  • Develop and carry out automation strategy and standards, including CI/CD quality integration.
  • Evaluate, select, and implement new tools, methodologies, and automation approaches where they provide clear value.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and quality retrospectives for high-impact issues, translating findings into systemic improvements.
  • Implement risk-focused testing and deployment preparedness methods across teams, including entry/exit criteria, go/no-go, and rollback readiness.
  • Mentor QA Team Leads and Senior QA Engineers, supporting career development and encouraging a culture of ownership and excellence.

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of professional QA experience, including hands-on work in automation and/or test architecture.
  • 3+ years leading QA teams or managing QA across multiple squads or projects.

This includes mentoring senior ICs and leads.

Direct people management experience is strongly preferred for M2.

  • Demonstrated success in leading QA results across various teams and areas with quantifiable effects on quality, assurance in delivery, and speed.
  • Extensive knowledge in comprehensive testing across full-stack environments, including API, UI, integration/E2E, and CI/CD integration.
  • Good ability to define and implement risk-based testing and release readiness for complex releases.
  • Demonstrated leadership presence and ability to influence multi-functional collaborators at senior levels.
  • Good communication skills, including clear status updates, risk narratives, and data-driven recommendations.
  • Track record of building scalable processes and tooling without heavy bureaucracy (“lightweight governance”).
  • Experience in the gaming sector and/or live-service products is an advantage.
  • Experience in QA transformation, organisational change, expanding quality methods, or establishing a QA function is a plus.
  • Understanding of business impact and return on investment of quality initiatives is advantageous.
