We have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager who collaborates well with others to join our Project management team in Wigan. The Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of business-critical projects across Technology and Non-Technology Operations. Operating within the Project Management Office (PMO), the role will be to assist the Project Team with project planning, stakeholder engagement, delivery governance, and execution to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to business objectives.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Coordinate project teams, both internal and external, to deliver successful outcomes on time, within budget, and aligned to plan.
- Define and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverables throughout the project life cycle.
- Ensure project governance standards are adhered to and applied consistently.
- Identify, manage, and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Engage and manage stakeholders across business functions.
- Provide clear, proactive communication on progress, risks, and outcomes.
- Lead project meetings, workshops, and decision forums.
- Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on performance and progress.
Our ideal Project Manager will have the following skills / experience:
- 3 years proven experience of delivering projects end-to-end in a business environment.
- Exemplary communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to multi-task, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Sound knowledge of project governance, risk management, and delivery frameworks.
- Decisive and able to work well under pressure.
- Command respect and trust.
- Demonstrates the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across multiple business units and levels of hierarchy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Experience of Project Management tools.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, SharePoint, MS Planner.
- Knowledge of Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
- Project management certification(s).
