We are looking for a driven and experienced Home Delivery Operations Manager who will be responsible for overseeing and optimising all aspects of our home delivery operations, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality service to customers. This role focuses on leading operational teams, managing logistics performance, and delivering a seamless end-to-end customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage day-to-day home delivery operations, ensuring service levels are consistently met or exceeded.
- Plan and optimise routing, scheduling, and dispatch processes to maximise efficiency.
- Monitor delivery performance metrics (e.g., on-time delivery, productivity, cost per drop) and implement improvements.
- Manage, coach, and develop Fleet & Home Delivery Teams.
- Foster a high-performance, customer-focused culture.
- Work with other departments to enhance delivery communication and overall service quality.
- Ensure full compliance with all health & safety regulations, company policies, and transport legislation.
- Manage operational budgets, controlling costs while maintaining service standards.
- Identify and lead process improvement initiatives.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is operationally strong, customer-focused, and able to lead teams in a fast-paced environment. You’ll have:
- Proven experience in logistics, distribution, or home delivery operations management.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Experience managing high-volume, fast-paced operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of route planning, fleet management, and last-mile logistics.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
