Seeking an experienced, motivated & dynamic Night Buyer with a substantial background in fresh produce purchasing. Personable, confident and a born \’deal maker\’ the ideal candidate may well come from a wholesale fruit/veg trading environment or have been a chef used to buying, negotiating and sourcing seasonal produce with a keen eye for pricing. Our client is a third generation, family owned, fruit & vegetable Wholesaler established in 1926. Supplying first class produce, delivered on a daily basis, their customer base includes restaurants, hotels, gastro pubs, Universities, schools & colleges and stretches georaphically across the West Midlands region, into the Cotswolds and Oxfordshire. The role is hands on and works in close collaboration with the Sales Team, with the core task of ensuring the business achieves best quality and price on a daily basis. Hours are midnight to 8/9am and an HGV licence is required, although full training can be arranged. A fully expensed company car also available for personal use & a mobile phone are provided. A yearly bonus of up to 10% of the annual salary is awarded, based on both personal performance and contribution to the team.
