We are seeking a candidate with a passion for Health & Safety with a "new world" modern approach and the ability to transform employee engagement and training. With responsibility for Health, Safety, Welfare & Culture, you will focus on compliance & cultural change. A key role within the business, you will embed a proactive safety culture, promote best practice, compliance with legislation and drive employee engagement in health, safety and welfare initiatives. You will be of an engaging and empowering personality, becoming the champion of a positive safety culture, bringing the workforce along with you!

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with UK health & safety regulations, including HSE guidance, HACCP, COSHH and food safety standards
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop safe working procedures across all operational areas
  • Train, support and monitor managers on risk assessments and working procedures for their departmental responsibilities
  • Monitor and review workplace hazards, ensuring appropriate controls are in place
  • Assist in accident and incident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
  • Maintain up-to-date records of audits, inspections, and training

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH, HACCP, COSHH, FOOD SAFETY, HSE qualified
  • Strong understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation
  • Proven ability to influence and engage employees at all levels
