Joining one focused and driven team, you will challenge boundaries in order to change the game for our customers. We are the world's leading independent motorsport company and the business behind some of the greatest names and achievements in motorsport over the last 40 years. Our skilled Technicians, Mechanics, Fabricators and Engineers work together every step of the way to design, build and run elite competition cars on the track and off-road across the globe. For more than 15 years we have been the team behind Aston Martin Racing and our GT Customer race programme is experiencing unprecedented growth. We are also involved in an expanding Rally Raid Championship programme.

We are looking for an experienced Engine Build Technician to support our Motorsport Engine Team in assembling Race and Rally engines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stripping, preparation and assembly of multi cylinder race and rally engines, from multi-cylinder Aston Martins, V6 turbocharged and four-cylinder turbocharged RX Renault Megane, to the iconic turbocharged flat 4.
  • Taking the engine right through the build process from stripping, cleaning, inspection, preparation, reassembly, dyno and pre-delivery inspection.
  • Ability to work on all areas of the engine, e.g. Cylinder heads, pumps, throttles.
  • Build the engines to specification and within homologation tolerances.
  • Maintain build records and lifecheck system.
  • Keep engine build records and lifing up to date.
  • Identify and address quality issues.
  • Liaise with engineers when required.

Who are we looking for?

A motor vehicle or engineering qualification is advantageous but not essential. You will be able to work on your own initiative to tight deadlines, be an excellent team worker and be flexible and willing to attend race events if required.

What can we offer you?

  • An attractive salary which will grow in line with your ongoing development and impact
  • 25 days holiday (which increases with long service) with an opportunity to purchase up to 15 extra days
  • Training opportunities for continuing professional development
  • Onsite subsidised staff restaurant
  • Car and pension salary sacrifice schemes
  • Cyclescheme
  • Exercise classes
  • Paid time off for volunteering
  • Consultations with our Fit 4 Life expert
  • Social events throughout the year
  • Exclusive company discounts
  • Life assurance
