Our Advanced Technology business combines our pace and agility with free-thinking to deliver complex engineering solutions and specialist manufacturing programmes to the automotive, aerospace, marine, and defence sectors, accelerating the net zero journey for our customers.

We are looking for a Buyer to independently manage defined supplier packages, delivering cost, delivery and performance in line with customer and programme expectations.

This role balances commercial judgement, governance and delivery discipline in a structured programme environment.

Key Responsibilities Independently manage assigned sourcing and supply management packages within OEM programmes.

Communicate directly with suppliers on pricing, lead times, capacity and delivery commitments.

Track parts and assemblies through to receipt, resolving delays or issues proactively.

Ensure components meet specification, documentation and quality expectations.

Maintain accurate purchasing data including price, lead time, tooling, MOQ and commitments.

Resolve invoice queries by reconciling PO, delivery and supplier documentation.

Apply sound judgement when balancing cost, delivery and programme risk.

Track components through the full lifecycle from sourcing to build and programme close.

Who are we looking for?

Our ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or possess a technical qualification or equivalent standard.

You will have experience in a purchasing role within automotive, manufacturing and Tier-1 environments, and be comfortable working to customer and programme requirements.

You will have experience using ERP or purchasing systems, and be structured and organised, able to operate in a process-controlled manner at pace.
