With a new generation of race and rally programmes on our horizon, we're entering a phase of growth and opportunity and are looking for talented engineers to help us design and develop elite performance vehicles that will ensure we stay ahead of the game.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Structural Analyst to join our Engineering Vehicle Design group, to provide structural analysis expertise across a variety of high-performance motorsport programmes.

You will be supporting the optimisation and performance enhancement of vehicle systems and components.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis of assemblies comprising of metallic, composite and fabricated components.
  • Work closely with Designers to develop load cases and optimise geometry using calculation and FEA methods.
  • Produce concept designs and detailed engineering solutions that meet performance, weight and cost targets.
  • Deliver CAD assemblies and detailed designs to agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Release parts and assembly structures onto Bills of Materials.
  • Ensure Bills of Materials are accurate, current and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Understand and consider the commercial impact of design decisions on component manufacture and future Bill of Materials costs.
  • Support design reviews and continuous improvement activities across programmes.
  • Liaison with external suppliers, as well as internal departments and stakeholders to ensure designs are manufacturable, robust and delivered to programme requirements.

Our ideal candidate

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience in a high-performance motorsport design environment.
  • Proven expertise performing structural analysis.
  • A strong understanding of design, materials and manufacturing processes.
  • The ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams, taking designs from concept through to manufacture.
  • Excellent CAD skills, with Siemens NX and Teamcenter experience an advantage.
  • The ability to deliver high-quality engineering solutions in a fast-paced, championship-winning environment.
  • A passion for motorsport, innovation and engineering excellence, with the ambition to help shape the next generation of World Championship-winning rally and endurance race cars.
