We are looking for a Senior Car Build Technician to lead in-house car build preparation activities, ensuring all vehicles and associated projects are delivered to the required quality, timing and presentation standards, while supporting shakedowns, workshop readiness and continuous improvement across the department.

Key responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of Car Build Technicians to ensure the timely preparation and delivery of GT3, GT4 and other assigned vehicle projects to the required standard.
  • Assemble and prepare vehicles in accordance with build manuals, engineering requirements and quality standards to achieve on-time delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, build quality and workshop processes through a continuous improvement and lean manufacturing approach.
  • Support the development of Car Build Technicians and junior team members through day-to-day guidance, skills training, performance feedback and contribution to the PDR process.
  • Act as a champion for health, safety and workshop standards, reporting issues promptly and helping to maintain a safe, organised and professional working environment.
  • Identify, raise and support the resolution of quality concerns, completing NCR (Non-Conformance Report) and PICR (Product/Process Improvement and Concern Report) documentation as required.
  • Manage and support vehicle shakedowns, test activities and customer event support as required, ensuring vehicles are prepared, issues are captured and actions are followed through.

Our ideal candidate will have previous experience building GT3 and GT4 cars at a senior level in a low volume or competition vehicle assembly environment. You will be comfortable leading and supporting a team and providing technical expertise during events when required. With a flexible attitude and approach, you will be able to communicate effectively with others and lead by example, acting as a role model to the team.
