Prodrive Recruitment Consultants Ltd are recruiting for an experienced Warehouse/Stores Operative to join our well-established clients based in Pershore. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to load, unload, and move materials efficiently and safely within the warehouse environment to fulfil all internal and external customer orders and shipments. A valid forklift (Counterbalance) licence and full UK driver's licence is essential for this role.
Main Responsibilities:
- Receiving materials and components from suppliers and customers
- Quality control and verification of all materials as they are received into the stores area and checking product type and quantity
- Issuing and kitting components and materials to the shop floor specified by the job card to meet manufacturing schedules
- Operate forklift equipment safely and efficiently to load and unload goods from lorries and storage areas
- Manage materials handling tasks, including stacking, organising, and relocating stock within the warehouse
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control
- Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accordingly
- Support with general warehouse duties such as organising stock, cleaning work areas, and preparing goods for dispatch
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment within the Stores areas
- Comply with the requirements of the IMS - Integrated Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015 ISO 45001:2018)
- Delivery and collection of product and material as required using internal and external transport
- Adhoc duties as required from time to time.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience working in a busy stores/warehouse environment is essential - 2 years+
- Current FLT Licence (Counterbalance) - Essential
- Current UK Driver's Licence and own vehicle - Essential
- Good IT proficiency and knowledge of IMS systems and Microsoft Word, Sage an advantage
- Excellent organisation skills and an ability to multi-task
- Excellent time management skills and good work ethic
- Some heavy lifting required, must be physically fit
- Able to use initiative and work independently
- A flexible team player
Salary: up to £30k pa DOE + company benefits
Hours of work: 39 per week, Monday to Thursday 0700 am - 1715 pm.
Permanent full time Contract.
