Production Welder/Fabricator

Prodrive Recruitment Consultants Ltd are seeking a skilled Production Welder/Fabricator to join our well-established client's manufacturing team based in Pershore, Worcestershire.

This role involves working with various materials and fabrication techniques to produce high-quality components and assemblies.

The ideal candidate will have experience in welding and fabrication processes, with a strong focus on precision and safety.

Main Responsibilities

  • Mainly MIG and some TIG welding of mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium, typically from 1mm up to 20 mm thick.
  • Read technical drawings and specifications to accurately produce parts and assemblies
  • JIG making.
  • Marking and identifying materials, dressing and finishing.
  • One-off prototype work as well as medium batch production.
  • Some knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and machinery to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts.
  • Fabricate components through cutting, bending, and assembling metal sheets and other materials.
  • Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure adherence to company standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as required including possible secondment to work in other areas on the shop floor.

Skills and Qualifications

  • MIG Welding experience - 1 year essential
  • Fabrication experience - 1 year essential
  • TIG Welding - 1 year (Preferred)
  • Experience in graining Stainless Steel by hand (not essential) - Desirable
  • Ability to work with and weld Mild Steel/Stainless Steel/Aluminium to a high standard
  • Ability to dress welds to a high standard
  • Pays attention to detail and high standards of accuracy
  • Able to use initative and work as part of a team
  • Punctual and reliable.
  • An adaptable team player
  • Monday to Thursday 7.00 am to 5.15 pm (4-day week)
