Prodrive Recruitment Consultants Ltd are seeking an experienced Materials Controller for our well-established clients based in Pershore, a leading manufacturer supporting the UK's defence sector and other critical industries Rail, Automotive and Agriculture.

The successful candidate will maintain accurate inventory control and material availability by managing stock data within Sicon and Sage and providing support for production requirements, working alongside Purchasing and Production Control to minimise errors, shortages and any disruption to production schedules.

Main

Responsibilities

  • Monitor stock accuracy levels and report risks, trends and any recurring issues.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within Sicon and Sage ensure all stock movements are correctly controlled and recorded.
  • Investigate stock discrepancies, identify root causes and implement preventative and corrective measures.
  • Proactively identify potential material shortages or risks and work closely with Production to ensure materials are available to meet production schedules and kitting requirements.
  • Liaise with Purchasing to ensure purchase order accuracy delivery performance and ensuring that lead times are met.
  • Act as a key point of contact between Stores, Production and Purchasing
  • Monitor overdue, incomplete or late deliveries and escalate risks where necessary.
  • Communicate and liaise professionally with internal teams as required. Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience working with inventory control systems ideally Sage 200 with Sicon modules
  • Experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck - current licence preferred.
  • Have a strong understanding of stock transactions, receipts, issues, adjustments and stock movements
  • Have the ability to interpret system data including a high level of IT proficiency
  • Proven experience of stores procedures, location control and material traceability
  • A confident self-starter with excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Good numeracy skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Awareness of ISO9001 quality management systems - Desirable
  • Experience working in regulated industries Defence, Rail, Aerospace - Desirable.
  • A flexible team player Salary up to £14.92 p/hr DOE + Company Benefits Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 07:45 - 17:15, Friday 07:45 - 13:00 (Early Finish) Temporary to Permanent
