Prodrive Recruitment Consultants Ltd are seeking an experienced Assembly Operator to join our well-established clients based in Worcestershire, a leading manufacturer of complex and safety-critical engineering parts for the defence and transport sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in using their technical ability and hands-on skills to assemble components and be able to work from technical drawings. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, good manual dexterity, and the ability to work within a fast-paced environment. This role offers a stable, full-time position with a competitive salary, training and an opportunity to further develop your engineering expertise within a supportive environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assemble products and components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment according to technical specifications.
- Conduct quality checks throughout the assembly process to ensure standards are met.
- Follow detailed work instructions and safety procedures at all times.
- Have knowledge of and the ability to read technical drawings.
- Finish products to company quality standards.
- Work effectively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
- Adhoc duties as required from time to time.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in assembly, production or in a manufacturing environment is essential.
- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for understanding assembly processes.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent manual dexterity.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- A proactive team player.
Salary: up to £13.48 per hour DOE + Company Benefits
Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 07:45 - 17:15, Friday 07:45 - 13:00
Temporary to Permanent Contract.
