We are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Operative to work for our well-established clients based in Malvern in their Production facility, running production equipment, weighing out ingredients, working in packing rooms, unloading deliveries, picking, labelling and loading of orders. All of the above to be carried out to the agreed quality standards whilst maintaining compliance with the Company rules on health, hygiene and safety.
Main Responsibilities:
- Weigh ingredients.
- Run mixing operations – loading of ingredients, supervising mixing and unloading ready for packing.
- Prepare packaging for filling.
- Pack product using either automated fillers or hand packing for smaller production runs and then passing through sealing lines.
- Stack and wrap finished product after production as required.
- Carry out all required quality checks and record actions.
- Assist with unloading deliveries of incoming goods.
- Store goods in a logical and organised manner.
- Ensure goods are picked and wrapped in a manner that suit the method of delivery and the correct information is added to the package.
- Assist with loading vehicles and containers for despatch of goods.
- Ensure that the housekeeping standards are maintained.
- Ensure company safety procedures are complied with and that safe systems of work are implemented.
- Perform any other duties as may be required.
Experience:
- The ability to demonstrate good levels of literacy and numeracy.
- Practical ability – operation of plant and machinery.
- Physical strength (ability to handle up to 25kg bags and boxes).
- Able to use initiative.
- Flexible team player.
- Good time keeper.
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week - 08.00am - 16.00pm (Day Shift) Monday to Friday (some overtime available).
