Prodrive Recruitment Consultants Ltd are recruiting for a proactive and forward-thinking Export and Logistics Sales Co-ordinator to join our well-established clients based in Malvern within the FMCG sector. This role primarily involves order processing and co-ordination, managing logistics and freight and supporting quality functions across two sites in the business (food sector). Previous experience within export/logistics and sales administration is essential, a minimum of 2 years.
Main Responsibilities:
- Progress sales orders to despatch for shipment of goods overseas
- Obtain quotations for haulage and dealing with sea, air and road freight shipments
- Liaise with carriers to arrange collection and transportation
- Organise and co-ordinate timely deliveries to meet customer requirements
- Request supporting documentation (organic accreditation, Health, Certificates of Origin, Phytosanitary certificates and organic accreditation)
- Complete all paperwork to ensure compliance with overseas despatch and identify and resolve transport or documentation issues promptly and efficiently
- Receive documentation from freight forwarders and customers for proof of export etc.
- Arrange pre-shipment samples and samples to be despatched with all orders
- Label generation and printing for supply to factory
- Carry out quality checks for both product and vehicle at point of despatch
- Attend Food Safety and Quality meetings
- Provide holiday cover within the department
- Adhoc duties as required
The Person:
- Good level of literacy and numeracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Pays attention to detail and good problem-solving abilities
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft office and proficiency with ERP and bespoke systems for labelling and packaging
- Environmental awareness
- Ability to prioritise workloads and to meet deadlines
- Flexible team player
Desirable:
- HACCP knowledge
- Food Safety & Hygiene qualification
- BRC or ISO quality awareness
Salary: £28-33k Neg. dep. on experience
Company benefits: 20 days + bank holidays, rising to max 25 days + bank holidays after 5 years, Pension with 7.5% employer contribution (after 3 months), Death in service insurance (after 3 months), Free parking.
Office based: full time – Monday to Friday.
