Our Client, a premier Exploration and Production Company, have an urgent requirement for a Category Manager & Strategic Sourcing Advisor to work with them on a short-term Temporary Agency Worker contract in Aberdeen. The role responsibilities include but are not limited to:-

Applicants must have a robust and proven track record working directly for Oil & Gas Operating Companies within the energy sector.
Develop strategies to minimise the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) the company receives from third-parties, coordinate the implementation of category strategies, and manage supplier performance for continuous improvement.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and value creation for the business and coordinate the implementation of category strategies.
Coordinate the preparation and execution of commercial agreements, ensuring proper definition of the business relationship allocating / mitigating risk between the company and the supplier.
Identify strategies to support the business needs in an ever-changing market and obtain internal stakeholder buy-in across all levels of the organization, either via tendering, direct commercial negotiation etc.
Identify and implement TCO reduction opportunities for the goods and services being evaluated, optimise the total cost of the product or service by leveraging across markets, forming key supplier alliances, consolidating the supplier base, and exploring efficiencies involved in the supply chain.

Applications are invited from degree-qualified candidates with a minimum of a bachelors degree in supply chain management or other relevant discipline.
The successful incumbent will have experience working in supply chain undertaking strategic sourcing and category management.
Candidates will have experience working in the oil & gas industry with knowledge of subsea, projects, operations, engineering and logistics.
Applicants must have experience in category management, commercial negotiations and evaluation modelling including cost/benefit and present value analysis.
Candidates must be proficient in using software including SAP and Microsoft office for sourcing and contracts.
