As a Retail Supervisor, you'll be a key presence on the shop floor, leading by example to deliver excellent customer service, strong sales performance, and high presentation standards. Working closely with the Assistant Manager and Store Manager, you'll support the day-to-day running of the store and act as a role model for Sales Assistants. While this is not a direct line management role, you'll play an important part in setting standards, supporting the wider team, and helping bring Pro:Direct's football culture to life for every customer.
Responsibilities
- Lead by example on the shop floor, delivering excellent customer service and confident product advice.
- Support the Assistant Manager and Store Manager with the day-to-day running of the store.
- Act as a role model for Sales Assistants by demonstrating high standards in service, selling and store presentation.
- Drive sales through active customer engagement, strong product knowledge and a premium service approach.
- Use KPIs and trading patterns to help prioritise activity and maximise store performance.
- Maintain high standards across visual merchandising, stock availability and overall shop-floor presentation.
- Help create a store environment that feels exciting, premium and relevant to football players and fans.
- Support new team members through day-to-day guidance and by sharing best practice on the shop floor.
- Handle customer queries and complaints professionally, helping turn challenges into positive outcomes.
- Follow all operational procedures, including cash handling, loss prevention, health & safety and compliance.
Qualifications
- Experience in a customer-facing retail role, ideally in sport, fashion or lifestyle retail.
- Confidence acting as a senior presence on the shop floor, with the ability to lead by example and support others informally.
- Strong customer service skills and confidence in building rapport with a wide range of customers.
- Good commercial awareness, including an understanding of sales targets, KPIs and conversion.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail across stock, standards and visual presentation.
- A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
- A genuine passion for football and a strong awareness of football culture, product and trends in the UK and globally.
